Daiva–Puruṣakāra Discourse and the Elephant-Corps Engagement (भीमगजानीक-सम्भ्रान्ति)

सासिर्वेगवदाप्लुत्य दन्ताभ्यां वारणोत्तमम्‌ | आरुरोह ततो मध्यं नागराजस्य मारिष

sa-āsir vegavad āplutya dantābhyāṁ vāraṇottamam | āruroha tato madhyaṁ nāgarājasya māriṣa ||

Sinabi ni Sañjaya: May tabak sa kamay, si Bhīmasena ay sumugod at lumundag nang ubod-bilis; ginamit niya ang mga pangil ng pinakamainam na elepante bilang sandigan at umakyat sa ulo—sa pinakatuktok—ng panginoong elepanteng iyon. Dahil sa tanawing iyon, hindi na siya inakala ng mga mandirigma na karaniwang tao sa digmaan, kundi isang nilalang na may lakas na lampas-tao, halos makalangit—larawan ng walang takot na paninindigan sa gitna ng karahasan ng labanan.
