योधांश्व स्वान्‌ परान्‌ वापि नाभ्यजानज्जिघांसया

Transliteration

yodhāṁś ca svān parān vāpi nābhyajān jijhāṁsayā

Translation

Sinabi ni Sañjaya: Sa tindi ng pagnanasa niyang pumatay, hindi na niya nakilala ang mga mandirigma—kung kakampi ba o kaaway—na nagpapakita kung paanong ang pagkahumaling sa digmaan ay nakapapawi ng paghatol at pagpipigil na ayon sa dangal at moralidad.
