स मुमोच महेष्वास: शरसंघाननेकश:
sa mumoca maheṣvāsaḥ śarasaṅghān anekaśaḥ, jighāṃsantaṃ yudhāṃ śreṣṭha tadā āsīt tumulaṃ mahat |
Wika ni Sañjaya: “O Hari, ang dakilang mamamana na iyon ay muling nagpakawala ng mga ulang-palaso, sunod-sunod. Nang si Bhīṣma—ang pangunahin sa mga mandirigma—na may hangaring pumatay ay salakayin nang gayon, muling umalimbukay ang isang napakalawak at nakapanghihilakbot na kaguluhan ng digmaan.”
