Bhīmasena’s Kalinga Engagement and the Approach of Bhīṣma (भीमसेन-कालिङ्ग-संग्रामः)
अपरे क्षत्रिया: शूरा: कृतवैरा: परस्परम् | नैव शस्त्र विमुछ्चन्ति नैव क्रन्दन्ति मारिष
apare kṣatriyāḥ śūrāḥ kṛtavairāḥ parasparam | naiva śastraṃ vimuñcanti naiva krandanti māriṣa ||
Sinabi ni Sañjaya: May iba pang matatapang na kṣatriya—na nakagapos sa isa’t isa ng matagal nang alitan—na kahit sugatan ay hindi bumibitaw sa sandata, ni hindi dumaraing, O kagalang-galang na hari. Sa gitna ng labanan, ang batas ng mandirigma at dangal ang nagpatatag sa kanilang tahimik na pagtitiis.
