Droṇa–Dhṛṣṭadyumna-yuddha (द्रोण-धृष्टद्युम्न-युद्धम्) — Tactical duel and allied interventions

ततः सैन्धवको राजा द्रुपदं॑ विशिखैस्त्रिभि: । ताडयामास समरे स च त॑ प्रत्यविध्यत,तत्पश्चात्‌ सिन्धुराज जयद्रथने समरांगणमें तीन बाणोंद्वारा द्रपदको गहरी चोट पहुँचायी। ट्रुपदने भी बदलेमें उसे बींध डाला

tataḥ saindhavako rājā drupadaṁ viśikhaiḥ tribhiḥ | tāḍayāmāsa samare sa ca taṁ pratyavidhyata ||

Wika ni Sañjaya: Pagkatapos, ang hari ng Sindhu na si Jayadratha ay tumama kay Drupada sa labanan sa pamamagitan ng tatlong matutulis na palaso. Si Drupada nama’y gumanti agad at tinuhog din siya pabalik.
