Shloka 5

४ ।। न च मत्स्थानि भूतानि पश्य मे योगमैश्वरम्‌* । भूतभृन्न च भूतस्थो ममात्मा भूतभावन:,वे सब भूत मुझमें स्थित नहीं हैं; किंतु मेरी ईश्वरीय योगशक्तिको देख कि भूतोंका धारण-पोषण करनेवाला और भूतोंको उत्पन्न करनेवाला भी मेरा आत्मा वास्तवमें भूतोंमें स्थित नहीं है:

na ca matsthāni bhūtāni paśya me yogam aiśvaram | bhūtabhṛn na ca bhūtastho mamātmā bhūtabhāvanaḥ ||

“Ngunit gayon pa man, ang mga nilalang ay hindi tunay na nananahan sa Akin—masdan ang Aking makapangyarihang, banal na Yoga: ang Aking Sarili ang nagtataguyod sa lahat at naglalabas sa kanila, at gayunma’y hindi nakukulong sa mga nilalang.” Sa gayon inihahayag ng Panginoon ang isang paraan ng pag-iral na sumusuporta sa daigdig nang hindi nalilimitahan nito, at inaanyayahan si Arjuna na lumampas sa karaniwang pag-unawa sa kinalalagyan at pag-asa.

Educational Q&A

The Lord teaches that His relationship to the world is paradoxical to ordinary thought: He sustains and generates all beings, yet He is not contained or limited by them.
