Karma-Yoga, Jñāna-Yajña, and Avatāra Instruction

The core teaching is that the reality which pervades all—understood as the Self (ātman) or imperishable principle—is indestructible; therefore, true being cannot be annihilated, and one should not be overwhelmed by fear or grief about destruction of the body.
In the Bhīṣma Parva’s Bhagavadgītā discourse, the instruction emphasizes the indestructibility of the inner Self to steady the warrior’s mind, so that he can act according to dharma without collapsing into sorrow or hesitation amid the impending battle.
