मया भवतु निर्वत्तं वैरमादित्यनन्दन । पृथिव्यां सर्वराजानो भवन्त्वद्य निरामया:,'सूर्यनन्दन! मेरी मृत्युके द्वारा ही यह वैरकी आग बुझ जाय और भूमण्डलके समस्त नरेश अब दुःख-शोकसे रहित एवं निर्भय हो जाये
sañjaya uvāca | mayā bhavatu nirvṛttaṃ vairaṃ ādityanandana | pṛthivyāṃ sarvarājāno bhavantv adya nirāmayāḥ ||
Sinabi ni Sañjaya: “O ligaya ng angkan ng Araw, nawa’y magwakas ang alitang ito sa pamamagitan ko. Nawa’y ang lahat ng mga hari sa ibabaw ng lupa, mula sa araw na ito, ay maging malaya sa pagdurusa—pinalaya sa dalamhati at pangamba.”
