क्रीडता हि मया बाल्ये वासुदेव महामना: । पांसुरूषितगात्रेण महात्मा परुषीकृत:,“वासुदेव! बचपनमें खेलते समय मैंने अपने धूलि-धूसर शरीरसे उन महामनस्वी महात्माको सदा दूषित किया है

Transliteration

krīḍatā hi mayā bālye vāsudeva mahāmanāḥ | pāṃsurūṣitagātreṇa mahātmā paruṣīkṛtaḥ ||

Translation

Sinabi ni Sañjaya: “O Vāsudeva, noong aking kabataan, habang naglalaro, ako—na ang katawan ay balot ng alikabok—ay madalas na naging magaspang at nakapagpahamak sa dangal ng dakilang taong yaon na marangal ang loob. Ngayon, sa pag-alaala, kinikilala ko ang aking pagkakamali.”
