भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ११०: पार्थभीमयोः प्रहारः तथा भीष्माभिमुखं संग्रामविस्तारः

Arjuna and Bhima’s pressure; escalation toward Bhishma

एतत्‌ कुरुष्व कौन्तेय यथोक्तं मम सुव्रत । संग्रामे धार्तराष्ट्रां श्ष हन्या: सर्वान्‌ समागतान्‌,उत्तम व्रतका पालन करनेवाले कुन्तीपुत्र युधिष्ठिर! तुम मेरे ऊपर जैसे मैंने बतायी है, वैसी ही नीतिका प्रयोग करो। ऐसा करके ही तुम रणक्षेत्रमें आये हुए सम्पूर्ण धृतराष्ट्रपुत्रों एवं उनके सैनिकोंको मार सकते हो

etat kuruṣva kaunteya yathoktaṁ mama suvrata | saṅgrāme dhārtarāṣṭrāṁś ca hanyāḥ sarvān samāgatān ||

Wika ni Bhīṣma: “O anak ni Kuntī, matatag sa mararangal na panata, gawin mo nang ganap ang ayon sa itinuro ko. Sa pamamagitan lamang ng paglalapat ng paraang ito sa digmaan mo mapababagsak ang lahat ng anak ni Dhṛtarāṣṭra at ang kanilang mga hukbong nagtipon sa larangan.”
