Adhyāya 90: Babhruvāhana’s Reception and the Commencement of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Aśvamedha
ब्राह्मणास्तपसा युक्ता यथाशक्ति प्रदायिन: । “उस स्वर्गद्वारकी जो अर्गला (किल्ली) है
brāhmaṇās tapasā yuktā yathāśakti pradāyinaḥ |
Wika ng biyenan: “Ang mga brāhmaṇa na hinubog ng pag-austeridad at nagbibigay ng limos ayon sa kanilang kaya ang siyang tunay na nakakakita sa ‘tarangkahan ng langit.’ Ang kandado nito’y hinubog mula sa binhi ng kasakiman, at ang tarangkahan ay natatago sa pamamagitan ng pagkapit; kaya’t napakahirap pumasok sa loob. Tanging ang mga brāhmaṇa na asceta—na nagwagi sa galit, nagpasuko sa mga pandama, at nagbibigay ayon sa makakaya—ang nakakatanaw man lamang sa tarangkahang iyon.”
