Traigarta Attempt to Seize the Aśvamedha Horse; Arjuna’s Restraint and Tactical Victory
याज्ञवल्क्यस्य शिष्यश्न कुशलो यज्ञकर्मणि
yājñavalkyasya śiṣyaś ca kuśalo yajñakarmaṇi
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: “At siya’y alagad ni Yājñavalkya, bihasa sa mga ritwal at pamamaraan ng paghahandog na sakripisyo (yajña).”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical and cultural ideal that sacred rites should be performed by one who is properly trained in a lineage of learning (guru–śiṣya tradition), emphasizing competence and disciplined transmission of Vedic ritual knowledge.
