पाण्डव-वृष्णि-समागमः तथा अश्वमेध-अनुज्ञा | Reunion at the Kuru Court and Authorization of the Aśvamedha
परिक्षिदिति नामास्य भवत्तित्यब्रवीत् तदा । “कुरुकुलके परिक्षीण हो जानेपर यह अभिमन्युका बालक उत्पन्न हुआ है। इसलिये इसका नाम परिक्षित् होना चाहिये।” ऐसा भगवानने कहा
parīkṣid iti nāmāsya bhavatt ity abravīt tadā |
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Noon, ipinahayag ng Panginoon, “Parīkṣit ang itawag sa kanya.” “Nang ang angkan ng Kuru ay halos maparam, isinilang ang batang ito na anak ni Abhimanyu; kaya nararapat siyang magtaglay ng pangalang Parīkṣit—ang mag-iingat at magbabangon muli sa lahi.” Gayon ang wika ng Panginoon.
