Subhadrā’s Petition to Kṛṣṇa for the Revival of Parīkṣit (अभिमन्युज-प्राणरक्षा-प्रार्थना)
यदुप्रवीर यो<यं ते स्वस्नीयस्यात्मज: प्रभो । अश्वत्थाम्ना हतो जातस्तमुज्जीवय केशव
yadupravīra yo 'yaṃ te svasnīyasya ātmajaḥ prabho | aśvatthāmnā hataḥ jātas tam ujjīvaya keśava ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: “O pinakadakilang bayani ng mga Yadu, O Panginoon—ang batang ito, anak ng anak ng iyong kapatid na babae, ay isinilang na patay, pinaslang ng sandata ni Aśvatthāman. O Keśava, ibalik mo siya sa buhay.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even after war’s devastation, dharma expresses itself as protection of the innocent and the continuity of rightful lineage; the appeal to Keśava highlights reliance on divine power to heal what human violence has shattered.
The narrator reports an urgent plea to Kṛṣṇa: a child related through a nephew has been born dead due to Aśvatthāman’s weapon, and Kṛṣṇa is asked to revive the child.
