सरांसि सरितश्नैव वनान्युपवनानि च । अत्यक्रामन्महाराजो गिरिं चाप्यन्वपद्यत
sarāṃsi saritaś caiva vanāny upavanāni ca | atyakrāman mahārājo giriṃ cāpy anvapadyata ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Ang dakilang hari ay nagpatuloy sa paglakad, tumawid sa mga lawa at ilog, dumaan sa mga gubat at kakahuyan; at tinahak din niya ang landas sa kabundukan—matatag na sumusulong sa kanyang maharlikang paglalakbay.
