Uttaṅka’s Petition for Madayantī’s Divine Earrings (Maṇikuṇḍala) — Agreement, Proof, and Vigilance

सर्वेषामृषिपुत्राणामेष आसीन्मनोरथ: । औत्तड़कीं गुरुवृत्तिं वै प्राप्तुयामेति भारत

sarveṣām ṛṣiputrāṇām eṣa āsīn manorathaḥ | auttaṅkīṁ guruvṛttiṁ vai prāptuyāmeti bhārata bharatanandana ||

Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: “Ito ang minimithing nasa puso ng lahat ng anak ng mga rishi: ‘O Bhārata, ligaya ng angkan ng Bharata, nawa’y makamtan din namin ang ganyang asal ng debosyon sa guro na taglay ni Uttaṅka.’”
