Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the ethical importance of completing one’s obligation to the teacher (guru-dakṣiṇā) with sincerity and precision, and it frames the act as a dharmic duty whose proper fulfillment brings auspiciousness.

Ahalyā instructs someone (implicitly a student or seeker) to fetch the divine jewel earrings worn by King Saudāsa’s queen, stating that obtaining them will complete the required offering to the guru.
