Kṛṣṇa’s Departure, Auspicious Omens, and the Opening of the Uttaṅka Dialogue (कृष्णप्रयाण-निमित्त-उत्तङ्कसंवाद-प्रारम्भः)
भीमस्य च महात्मानौ तथा पादावगृह्नताम् । सबसे पहले उन शत्रुदमन वीरोंने राजा धृतराष्ट्रके पास जाकर अपने नाम बताते हुए उनके दोनों चरणोंका स्पर्श किया। उसके बाद उन महात्माओंने गान्धारी
bhīmasya ca mahātmānau tathā pādāvagṛhṇatām |
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Ang mga mararangal na bayani, mga manlulupig ng kaaway, ay unang lumapit kay Haring Dhṛtarāṣṭra, binanggit ang kanilang mga pangalan, at magalang na humipo sa dalawang paa ng hari. वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharma expressed as humility and reverence: even powerful warriors uphold moral order by honoring elders and legitimate authority through the traditional act of touching the feet.
Two noble heroes approach Dhṛtarāṣṭra, identify themselves, and touch his feet; then they similarly pay respects to Gāndhārī, Kuntī, Yudhiṣṭhira, and Bhīma, signaling deference and reconciliation in the post-war setting.
