Kṛṣṇa’s Departure, Auspicious Omens, and the Opening of the Uttaṅka Dialogue (कृष्णप्रयाण-निमित्त-उत्तङ्कसंवाद-प्रारम्भः)
रुचितं हि ममैतत्ते द्वारकागमनं प्रभो | अचिरादेव द्रष्टा त्वं मातुलं मे जनार्दन
rucitaṃ hi mamaitatte dvārakāgamanam prabho | acirādeva draṣṭā tvaṃ mātulaṃ me janārdana ||
Wika ni Vaiśampāyana: “O Panginoon, tunay na ikinagagalak ko ang iyong balak na magtungo sa Dvārakā. Di magtatagal, O Janārdana, tiyak na makikita mo ang aking tiyuhin sa ina.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical and social value of honoring kinship and maintaining relationships through timely visits and meetings; it frames the journey to Dvārakā as a welcome, proper course aligned with respect and familial duty.
Vaiśampāyana, narrating the events, expresses approval of the Lord’s intention to go to Dvārakā and notes that Janārdana (Kṛṣṇa) will soon meet the narrator’s maternal uncle, indicating an imminent reunion and a shift of scene toward Dvārakā.
