अपन कराता बछ। रस: षटत्रिशो<ध्याय: ब्रह्माजीके द्वारा तमोगुणका

brahmovāca | tad avyaktam anudriktaṁ sarvavyāpi dhruvaṁ sthiram | navadvāraṁ puraṁ vidyāt triguṇaṁ pañcadhātukam |

Sinabi ni Brahmā: “Ang di-nahahayag na Prakṛti (avyakta)—di-nagagalaw, laganap sa lahat, di-nasisira, at matatag—ay dapat maunawaang siyang saligan. Kapag ang tatlong guṇa ay lumihis sa pagkakapantay, nagiging limang sangkap na elemento ang mga ito, at mula roon ay sumisilang ang ‘lungsod na may siyam na pintuan’ (ang nilalang na may katawan).”
