अत्राप्युदाहरन्तीममितिहासं पुरातनम् । इन्द्रियाणां च संवादं मनसश्लैव भामिनि,भामिनि! इस विषयमें इन्द्रियों और मनके संवादरूप एक प्राचीन इतिहासका उदाहरण दिया जाता है
atrāpy udāharantīmam itihāsaṁ purātanam | indriyāṇāṁ ca saṁvādaṁ manasaś caiva bhāmini ||
Dito rin, O marikit na ginang, binabanggit ang isang sinaunang salaysay na halimbawa—ang isang pag-uusap ng mga pandama at ng isip—upang luminaw ang bagay na ito at ang aral nitong ukol sa asal at dharma.
ब्राह्मण उवाच
Ethical instruction is reinforced through an old illustrative story: the struggle and proper ordering of the senses and the mind is central to self-mastery and righteous conduct.
The Brahmin announces that, to explain the topic at hand, he will cite an ancient example—specifically a dialogue in which the senses and the mind speak, setting up a didactic episode.
