आत्मवत्‌ सर्वभूतेषु यश्नरेन्नियत: शुचि: । अमानी निरभीमान: सर्वतो मुक्त एव सः,जो नियमपरायण और पवित्र रहकर सब प्राणियोंके प्रति अपने-जैसा बर्ताव करता है, जिसके भीतर सम्मान पानेकी इच्छा नहीं है तथा जो अभिमानसे दूर रहता है, वह सर्वथा मुक्त ही है

ātmavat sarvabhūteṣu yaśnarenniyataḥ śuciḥ | amānī nirabhīmānaḥ sarvato mukta eva saḥ ||

Wika ng Brahmana: Ang taong may disiplina at dalisay, na tinatrato ang lahat ng nilalang gaya ng pagtrato niya sa sarili, na hindi naghahangad ng parangal at malayo sa pagmamataas—siya ay ganap na malaya sa lahat ng paraan.
