Vyāsa’s Boon-Offer and Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Remorse in the Forest Assembly (आश्रमवासिक पर्व, अध्याय ३६)
अन्त:पुरेषु च तदा सुमहान् रुदितस्वन: । प्रादुरासीन्महाराज पृथां श्रुत्वा तथागताम्
antaḥpureṣu ca tadā sumahān ruditasvanaḥ | prādurāsīn mahārāja pṛthāṃ śrutvā tathāgatām ||
Wika ni Vaiśampāyana: “Noon, O dakilang hari, umalingawngaw sa loob ng mga silid sa palasyo ang napakalakas na tunog ng pag-iyak. Nang marinig na si Pṛthā (Kuntī) ay napasapit sa gayong kalagayan, ang mga babae sa palasyo ay naglupasay sa panaghoy.”
