Vyāsa’s Inquiry into Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Tapas and the Identification of Vidura with Dharma
पुन: पुनर्निरिक्षन्त: प्रचक्रुस्ते प्रदक्षिणम् । तदनन्तर धृतराष्ट्रने अर्जुन और पुरुषप्रवर नकुल-सहदेवको छातीसे लगा उनका अभिनन्दन करके विदा किया। इसके बाद उन पाण्डवोंने गान्धारीके चरणोंमें प्रणाम करके उनकी आज्ञा ली। फिर माता दुन्तीने उन्हें हृदयसे लगाकर उनका मस्तक सूँघा। जैसे बछड़े अपनी माताका दूध पीनेसे रोके जानेपर बार-बार उसकी ओर देखते हुए उसके चारों ओर चक्कर लगाते हैं
punaḥ punar nirīkṣantaḥ pracakrus te pradakṣiṇam | draupadīpramukhāś caiva sarvāḥ kauravayoṣitaḥ ||
Wika ni Yudhiṣṭhira: “Paulit-ulit silang lumilingon at nagsagawa ng pag-ikot na may paggalang. Gayundin, si Draupadī na nangunguna at ang lahat ng kababaihan ng Kuru ay gumawa rin nito—nagpaalam nang may pagpipitagan at lumisan.”
युधिछिर उवाच
Even amid loss and the aftermath of conflict, dharma is maintained through humility and reverence—honoring elders and family bonds via respectful leave-taking and pradakṣiṇā.
The departing group repeatedly looks back and circumambulates in respect; Draupadī and the other Kuru women do the same, marking a solemn farewell and continued observance of proper conduct.
