युधिष्ठिरमुवाचेदं बाष्पव्याकुललोचन: । यह सुनकर योद्धाओंके स्वामी महाबाहु सहदेव अपने दोनों नेत्रोंमें आँसू भरकर युधिष्ठिस्‍से इस प्रकार बोले--

yudhiṣṭhiram uvācedaṃ bāṣpa-vyākula-locanaḥ |

Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Nang may mga matang naliliman ng luha, sinabi niya ang mga salitang ito kay Yudhiṣṭhira—hudyat ng pag-agos ng dalamhati at paggalang, habang ang nakababatang kapatid ay naghahanda nang magsalita sa hari sa sandaling mabigat sa tungkulin ng angkan at sa bigat ng dharma.
