Adhyāya 32: Tāpasānāṃ Darśanaṃ — Ascetics Seek to Identify the Pāṇḍavas
इष्टबान्धवसंयोगमनायासमनामयम् | यश्चैतच्छावयेद् विद्वान् विदुषो धर्मवित्तम:
iṣṭabāndhavasaṃyogam anāyāsam anāmayam | yaś caitac chāvayed vidvān viduṣo dharmavittamaḥ ||
Wika ni Vaiśampāyana: “(Ang salaysay na ito) ay nagdudulot ng mapalad na muling pagkikita ng minamahal na mga kamag-anak, walang hirap at walang karamdaman. At ang marunong na nagpapabigkas nito—ang nakaaalam ng dharma—ay magiging pinakadakila sa mga pantas.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse functions as a phalaśruti: it praises the benefit of having this passage recited/heard—promising wholesome well-being (freedom from hardship and affliction) and affirming that the promoter of such recitation is regarded as foremost among dharma-knowing scholars.
Vaiśampāyana concludes a section with a commendatory statement about the spiritual and ethical value of listening to or arranging the recitation of the account, highlighting its auspicious results and the esteem gained by one who propagates it.
