The Duty to Fulfill Promised Gifts
पुत्रान् पौत्रान् पशुंश्वैव बान्धवान् सचिवांस्तथा । पुरं जनपदं चैव शान्तिरिष्टेन पोषयेत्
putrān pautrān paśūṃś caiva bāndhavān sacivāṃs tathā | puraṃ janapadaṃ caiva śāntir iṣṭena poṣayet ||
Wika ni Bhīṣma: “Sa bisa ng kabutihan ng piniling matuwid na gawa (iṣṭa), ang isang tao’y nagiging bukal ng kapayapaan at kagalingan, na nagtataguyod at nagpapala sa kanyang mga anak at apo, mga kamag-anak, mga alagang hayop, mga ministro, at gayundin sa kanyang lungsod at sa malawak na kanayunan.”
