Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
वेदा धर्माश्च नोच्छेदं गच्छेयु: सुरसत्तमा: । विहितं पूर्वमेवात्र मया वै व्येतु वो ज्वर:
vedā dharmāś ca nocchedaṃ gaccheyuḥ surasattamāḥ | vihitaṃ pūrvam evātra mayā vai vyetu vo jvaraḥ ||
Sinabi ni Bhishma: “O pinakamahuhusay sa mga diyos, hindi mapapawi ang mga Veda at ang Dharma. Matagal ko nang inihanda ang paraan upang maiwasan iyon. Kaya, pawiin nawa ang inyong nag-aalab na pangamba.”
