Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
ते त्वनेनैव रूपेण प्रजनिष्यन्ति वै प्रजा: । स्थापयिष्यन्ति चात्मानं युगादिनिधने तथा
te tv anenaiva rūpeṇa prajaniṣyanti vai prajāḥ | sthāpayiṣyanti cātmānaṃ yugād-nihane tathā ||
Wika ni Vasiṣṭha: “Tunay, sa anyong ito rin nila iluluwal ang mga nilalang. At mula sa simula ng yugto hanggang sa wakas nito—hanggang sa pagkalusaw—itatatag nila ang kanilang sarili sa itinakdang hanggahan, pinangangalagaan ang kaayusang pangsansinukob at ang nararapat nilang kalagayan.”
वसिष्ठ उवाच
That the agents of creation (implicitly the Prajāpati-like progenitors) not only generate beings but also remain steadfast within ordained limits across the entire cycle of time—modeling dharma as stability, restraint, and maintenance of cosmic order from yuga-beginning to pralaya.
Vasiṣṭha is describing how certain primordial/progenitor beings will continue the work of creation in the same form and will preserve their proper station and boundaries throughout the full span of an age, indicating continuity of governance and order in the cosmos.
