Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
एवमड्रिरसश्लैव कवेश्ष प्रसवान्वयै: । भगोश्व भूगुशार्दूल वंशजै: सततं जगत्
evam aḍrirasaś caiva kaveṣa prasavānvayaiḥ | bhagoś ca bhṛguśārdūla vaṃśajaiḥ satataṃ jagat ||
Wika ni Vasiṣṭha: “Kaya nga, sa pamamagitan ng mga angkang nagmula kay Aḍrirasa at kay Kaveṣa, at gayundin sa mga inapo ni Bhaga—o tigre sa lipi ng Bhṛgu—ang daigdig ay patuloy na naitaguyod at naipamana sa paglipas ng panahon.”
वसिष्ठ उवाच
The verse emphasizes continuity of the world through righteous succession—lineages and descendants preserve social and cosmic order, implying that maintaining dharmic family lines and responsibilities sustains society.
Vasiṣṭha is describing genealogical succession, naming ancestral figures (Aḍrirasa, Kaveṣa, Bhaga) and stating that through their descendants the world has been continuously maintained, while addressing a listener from the Bhṛgu line.
