Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
शेषा: प्रजानां पतय: स्रोतोभ्यस्तस्य जज्ञिरे । ऋषयो रोमकूपेभ्य: स्वेदाच्छन्दो बलान्मन:
śeṣāḥ prajānāṁ patayaḥ srotobhyaḥ tasya jajñire | ṛṣayo romakūpebhyaḥ svedāc chando balān manaḥ ||
Sinabi ni Vasiṣṭha: “Ang natitirang mga panginoon ng mga nilalang ay isinilang mula sa mga daluyan ng kanyang katawan (mga agos ng pandama). Mula sa mga butas ng balahibo ay lumitaw ang mga rishi; mula sa kanyang pawis ay lumitaw ang mga sukat ng Veda (chandas); at mula sa kanyang lakas-buhay ay lumitaw ang isip (manas).”
