Chapter 84: Brahmā’s Counsel on Tāraka, the Search for Agni, and the Genesis of Skanda

विमानेषु विचित्रेषु रमणीयेषु भारत । मोदन्ते पुण्यकर्माणो विहरन्तो यशस्विन:,भरतनन्दन! वहाँके यशस्वी एवं पुण्यकर्मा मनुष्य विचित्र एवं रमणीय विमानोंमें बैठकर यथेष्ट विहार करते हुए आनन्दका अनुभव करते हैं
vimāneṣu vicitreṣu ramaṇīyeṣu bhārata | modante puṇyakarmāṇo viharanto yaśasvinaḥ ||
Wika ni Vyāsa: “O Bhārata, yaong mga may kabutihang-loob—kilala at marangal—ay nagagalak doon, gumagala ayon sa nais habang tinatamasa ang mga kaakit-akit at kahanga-hangang sasakyang panghimpapawid.”
व्यास उवाच
The verse emphasizes karmaphala: virtuous, meritorious action (puṇya-karma) yields joy and honor, symbolized by free enjoyment of splendid vimānas. Ethical conduct is presented as the cause of elevated, happy states.
Vyāsa describes the condition of the righteous in a heavenly setting: illustrious people who performed good deeds delight and roam at will in wondrous, pleasant vimānas, experiencing happiness as the result of their merit.
