Transliteration

yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | vidhiṁ gavāṁ paraṁ śrotum icchāmi nṛpa tattvataḥ | yena tān śāśvatāl lokān arthināṁ prāptuyād iha ||

Translation

Sinabi ni Yudhiṣṭhira: O hari, nais kong marinig, sa tunay at tumpak na anyo nito, ang pinakamataas na pamamaraan hinggil sa mga baka—ang ritwal ng pag-aalay ng baka (go-dāna). Sa pagsunod dito, ang mga naghahangad ng kabutihang-loob at gantimpala ay makakamtan, kahit mula sa mundong ito, ang mga walang-hanggang daigdig na minimithi.
