गोप्रदानगुणाः तथा कपिलागोविधानम्
Merits of Cow-Gift and the Origin-Account of Kapilā Cows
तत्र सर्वसहा: क्षान्ता वत्सला गुरुवर्तिन: । अहंकारैरविरहिता यान्ति शक्र नरोत्तमा:
tatra sarvasahāḥ kṣāntā vatsalā guruvartinaḥ | ahaṃkārair avirahītā yānti śakra narottamāḥ || indra!
Wika ni Bhīṣma: “O Śakra (Indra), sa kahariang iyon tanging ang pinakamahuhusay sa mga tao ang nakaaabot—yaong kayang magtiis sa lahat ng hirap, matiisin at marunong magpatawad, mahabagin at mapagkalinga, namumuhay sa pagsunod sa matatanda at mga guro, at walang kapalaluan. Ang mga birtud na ito—hindi ang lakas o katayuan—ang tanda ng karapat-dapat sa mas mataas na daigdig.”
