Description of the ‘World of Cows’ and the Stated Fruits of Cow-Gift
तथैव गा: प्रशंसन्ति न तु देयं ततः परम् । संनिकृष्टफलास्ता हि लघ्वर्थाश्व युधिष्ठिर
tathaiva gāḥ praśaṃsanti na tu deyaṃ tataḥ param | saṃnikṛṣṭa-phalās tā hi laghv-arthāś ca yudhiṣṭhira ||
Sabi ni Bhīṣma: “Gayon din, pinupuri ang pag-aalay ng mga baka; walang kawanggawang hihigit pa roon. O Yudhishthira, ang bunga ng pag-aalay ng baka’y dumarating sa nalalapit na panahon, at ang mga bakang iyon ay mabilis na nagdudulot ng katuparan ng ninanais.”
भीष्म उवाच
Bhishma teaches that go-dāna (the gift of cows) is among the highest forms of charity, praised as supremely meritorious, and notable for producing tangible, timely benefits while also supporting dharmic living.
