Nṛga-upākhyāna: Brāhmaṇa-sva and the Consequence of Misappropriated Gift-Cattle (कृकलास-रूपे नृगोपाख्यानम्)
यांतां ब्रह्मर्षय: सिद्धा: प्रार्थयन्ति परां गतिम् । भारत! ये गौएँ चन्द्रमाके साथ उस ब्रह्मलोकमें निवास करती हैं, जो परमगतिरूप है और जिसे सिद्ध ब्रह्मर्षि भी प्राप्त करनेकी इच्छा रखते हैं
yāntāṃ brahmarṣayaḥ siddhāḥ prārthayanti parāṃ gatim |
Wika ni Bhīṣma: “O Bhārata! Ang mga bakang ito ay nananahan sa Brahmaloka kasama ng buwan—yaong Brahmaloka na siyang parama-gati, ang sukdulang hantungan—na kahit ang mga ganap na brahmarṣi (mga siddha) ay minimithi ring marating. Patungo sa layuning iyon sila nagpapatuloy.”
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights the supremacy of the highest spiritual attainment (parā gati) and teaches that even the most perfected sages aspire for it—encouraging earnest striving toward liberation and the highest dharmic goal.
