Śulka, Kanyā, and Dauhitra-Riktha: Discourse on Bride-Price and Inheritance Rights (शुल्क-कन्या-दौहित्र-रिक्थविचारः)

सम्प्राप्य तानि प्रीतात्मा गुरोवंचनकारक: । तदा जगाम तूर्ण च चम्पां चम्पकमालिनीम्‌

samprāpya tāni prītātmā gurovāñcanakārakaḥ | tadā jagāma tūrṇaṃ ca campāṃ campakamālinīm ||

Wika ni Bhishma: Nang makamtan niya ang mga bulaklak na iyon, napuno ng galak ang kanyang puso; at yamang siya’y hindi kailanman manlilinlang sa kanyang guro (guru), agad siyang tumungo sa Champā—ang lungsod na wari’y ginagayakan ng mga punong champaka na parang kuwintas—upang tuparin ang utos ng guru nang may dangal at katapatan.
