Gaṅgā-māhātmya: Siddha–Śilavṛtti-saṃvāda and Gaṅgā-stava (गङ्गामाहात्म्यं—सिद्ध-शिलवृत्ति-संवादः)
यः प्रवृत्तां श्रुतिं सम्यक् शास्त्र वा मुनिभि: कृतम् । दूषयत्यनभिज्ञाय त॑ विद्याद् ब्रह्मघातिनम्
yaḥ pravṛttāṃ śrutiṃ samyak śāstraṃ vā munibhiḥ kṛtam | dūṣayaty anabhijñāya taṃ vidyād brahmaghātinam ||
Wika ni Bhishma: “Ang sinumang, nang walang tunay na pag-unawa, ay manlait sa makapangyarihang śruti—ang pahayag ng Veda na nagtatakda ng wastong gawa—o sa mga śāstra na isinulat ng mga rishi, ay dapat ituring na parang pumatay kay Brahman, sapagkat winawasak niya ang saligan ng dharma.”
