काम्यया पृष्टवांस्त्वं मां ततो व्याह्मतमुत्तमम् । अनतिक्रमणीया सा कृत्स्नौलेकैस्त्रिभि: सदा
Bhīṣma uvāca: kāmyayā pṛṣṭavāṁs tvaṁ māṁ tato vyākhyātam uttamam | anatikramaṇīyā sā kṛtsnair lokais tribhiḥ sadā ||
Wika ni Bhishma: “Dahil tinanong mo ako sa pagnanais na malaman, kaya ipinaliwanag ko ang bagay na iyon nang mabuti at ganap. Ang gayong utos ay hindi dapat labagin—kahit pa ng lahat ng nilalang sa tatlong daigdig.”
भीष्म उवाच
A rightful injunction—especially one grounded in dharma and associated with brahminical authority—is to be treated as inviolable; it should not be transgressed, regardless of status, even in the scope of the three worlds.
Bhishma responds to a question posed with sincere curiosity, stating that he has explained the matter thoroughly and emphasizing the binding force of the instruction he has just given.
