Steadfast devotion and proper recitation/observance connected with Śiva is presented as efficacious: the speaker assures that sincere practice leads to the fulfillment of legitimate aims, emphasizing faith and divine grace.
Vaiśampāyana addresses a Pāṇḍava, testifying from personal experience that he attained his desired ends, and he encourages the listener that, likewise, Śiva (Śarva) will grant the listener complete fulfillment of wishes.
