Gṛhastha-Vrata
पतिव्रता सत्यशीला नित्यं चैवार्जवे रता । कथ्थ॑ न प्रत्युदेत्यद्य स्मपमाना यथा पुरा
pativratā satyaśīlā nityaṃ caivārjave ratā | kathaṃ na pratyudety adya smayamānā yathā purā ||
Wika ni Bhishma: “Ang aking asawa—matatag sa katapatan bilang maybahay, tapat sa katotohanan, at laging umiibig sa tuwid na asal—bakit ngayong araw ay hindi siya lumalabas upang salubungin ako, na nakangiti gaya ng dati? Anong tungkuling higit na mabigat kaysa sa paglilingkod sa akin ang biglang dumating sa kanya?”
