एवं दग्धा भगवता दानवा: स्वेन तेजेसा । अगस्त्येन तदा राज॑ंस्तपसा भावितात्मना,'“राजन्! इस प्रकार शुद्ध अन्तःकरणवाले भगवान् अगस्त्यने अपने तप और तेजसे दानवोंको दग्ध कर दिया था
evaṁ dagdhā bhagavatā dānavāḥ svena tejasā | agastyena tadā rājan tapasā bhāvitātmanā ||
Sinabi ni Bhīṣma: “O hari, sa ganitong paraan, ang mga Dānava ay tinupok ng pinagpalang pantas na si Agastya—na ang kalooban ay dalisay at pinatibay ng tapas—sa pamamagitan ng sariling ningning na espirituwal.”
