Shloka 71

नान्निर्दहति काष्ठानि सावित्री यत्र पठ्यते । न तत्र बालो प्रियते न च तिष्ठन्ति पन्नगा:

nānnirdahati kāṣṭhāni sāvitryā yatra paṭhyate | na tatra bālo priyate na ca tiṣṭhanti pannagāḥ ||

Wika ni Bhīṣma: Sa pook na binibigkas ang Sāvitrī (Gāyatrī), hindi nilalamon ng apoy ang mga kahoy na bahagi ng tahanan; doon, hindi nagaganap ang pagkamatay ng isang bata, at hindi rin nananatili ang mga ahas. Pinupuri ng taludtod ang kapangyarihang pananggalang at panlinis na iniuugnay sa disiplinadong pagbigkas ng sagradong panalangin, bilang dharmic na pag-iingat para sa kabutihan ng sambahayan at pamayanan.
