आदित्यवंशप्रभवं महेन्द्रसमविक्रमम्,सूर्यवंशमें उत्पन्न और देवराज इन्द्रके समान पराक्रमी इला और बुधके प्रिय पुत्र त्रिभुवनविख्यात राजा पुरूरवाका नाम कीर्तन करें
ādityavaṃśaprabhavaṃ mahendrasamavikramam | sūryavaṃśe utpannaṃ ca ilā-budhapriya-putraṃ tribhuvanavikhyātaṃ rājānaṃ purūravaḥ nāma kīrtayet ||
Wika ni Bhishma: “Dapat bigkasin at ipagdiwang ang pangalan ni Haring Purūravas—isinilang sa angkan ng Araw (Āditya), kapantay ni Indra sa tapang, minamahal na anak nina Ilā at Budha, at bantog sa tatlong daigdig.”
भीष्म उवाच
