कल्मषापहर-कीर्तनम् / Kīrtana for the Removal of Impurity
न स्तम्भी न च मानी यो देवताद्विजपूजक: । लोकपूज्यो नमस्कर्ता प्रश्मितो मधुरं वच:
na stambhī na ca mānī yo devatādvijapūjakaḥ | lokapūjyo namaskartā praśmito madhuraṃ vacaḥ ||
Sinabi ni Śrī Maheśvara: “Ang taong hindi palalo ni mapagmataas; sumasamba sa mga diyos at gumagalang sa mga dvija (ang ‘dalawang ulit na isinilang’); kinikilalang karapat-dapat igalang ng daigdig; yumuyuko sa matatanda; maamo at mapagkumbaba, at nagsasalita ng matatamis na salita—ang gayong tao, sa mga tanda ng ganitong asal, ay sumusunod sa landas ng dharma.”
श्रीमहेश्वर उवाच
Dharma is marked by humility and reverence: avoiding arrogance and vanity, honoring gods and the learned, showing respect through salutations, maintaining a serene demeanor, and speaking gently and sweetly.
Maheśvara is describing the recognizable traits of a virtuous person—someone whose inner discipline appears outwardly as humility, worshipful respect, courteous behavior, and pleasant speech.
