Pratyakṣa–Āgama–Ācāra: Doubt, Proof, and the Practice of Dharma
The verse emphasizes that serious spiritual discipline begins with purity of place and mind: one should prepare a ritually clean sacred space, enter it with joy and self-control, and then undertake a long-term vow (here, a twelve-year dīkṣā) with steadiness.
Śrīmahēśvara (Śiva) is giving procedural guidance for undertaking an extended consecratory observance. He describes preparing a purified ground, defining the sacred area on all sides, and entering it in the right inner disposition before commencing the twelve-year initiation vow.
