एकेनांशेन धर्मार्थी कर्तव्यौ भूतिमिच्छता । एकेनांशेन कामार्थ एकमंशं विवर्धयेत्
ekena aṁśena dharmārthī kartavyau bhūtim icchatā | ekena aṁśena kāmārtha ekaṁ aṁśaṁ vivardhayet ||
Sinabi ni Maheshvara: “Ang taong naghahangad ng kasaganaan ay dapat, sa isang bahagi, tuparin ang dharma at ang mga pangangailangan ng buhay; sa isa pang bahagi, hanapin ang ligaya; at ang nalalabing bahagi ay dapat niyang palaguin nang matatag. Ito ang itinuturong landas ng masiglang tungkuling makalupa—pagbabalanse ng katuwiran, wastong kabuhayan, at disiplinadong pag-unlad.”
श्रीमहेश्वर उवाच
Prosperity should be managed in a balanced, ethical way: allocate one share to dharma and necessary obligations (including rightful livelihood and duties), one share to legitimate enjoyment (kāma), and reserve one share for growth—saving, reinvestment, or expansion—so that life remains righteous, sustainable, and steadily improving.
