Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ

Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony

य: पूर्वमसृजद्‌ देवं ब्रह्माणं लोकभावनम्‌ । अण्डमाकाशमापूर्य वरं तस्माद्‌ वृणीमहे

yaḥ pūrvam asṛjad devaṁ brahmāṇaṁ lokabhāvanam | aṇḍam ākāśam āpūrya varaṁ tasmād vṛṇīmahe ||

Ipinahayag ni Śakra (Indra): “Yaong sa pasimula ay lumikha sa diyos na Brahmā, tagapagtaguyod at tagahubog ng mga daigdig, at pumuno sa lawak ng kalawakan ng kosmikong itlog—mula sa Dakilang Panginoong iyon kami naghahangad na tumanggap ng isang biyaya.”
