Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ

Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony

आस्थितानां नदीं दिव्यां वालखिल्यैनिषेविताम्‌

āsthitānāṁ nadīṁ divyāṁ vālakhilyai niṣevitām

Nagsalita si Vāsudeva tungkol sa isang makalangit na ilog—na nilalapitan at tinatahanan ng mga matitibay ang paninindigan, at dinadalaw ng mga pantas na Vālakhilya—na naglalarawan ng isang pook na banal, pinananatili ng pagtitiyaga ng mga asetiko at pinapaging sagrado ng walang patid na pagdalo ng mga rishi.
