Chapter 128: Śiva–Umā Dialogue—Tilottamā, the Ritual Valence of the Śmaśāna, and the Fourfold Duty-Code

नून॑ त्वां सुगुणर्युक्ते पूजयानं सुह्ृद्ध्रुवम्‌ । ममार्थ इति जानीते तेनासि हरिण: कृश:

nūnaṃ tvāṃ suguṇa-yukte pūjayānaṃ suhṛd dhruvam | mamārtha iti jānīte tenāsi hariṇaḥ kṛśaḥ ||

“Tunay, O taong hitik sa mabubuting katangian, pinararangalan ka ng iba dahil sa iyong kabutihan; ngunit ang iyong kaibigan ay matibay na iniisip: ‘Ang paggalang na ito ay dahil sa akin—sa aking impluwensiya.’ Dahil sa pag-aalalang iyon, ikaw ay pumapayat at namumutla na parang usa.”
